Our Commitment to Privacy and Security

Aero Products International, Inc. (“Aero”) values our customers and respects your privacy.  In order to make your visits to thinkaero.com or aerobed.com (collectively “thinkaero.com”) as responsive as possible, we collect information when you visit us.  This information is collected in an effort to improve your online shopping experience with Aero, process your orders, and register your products with us.  We do not sell, trade, or rent information that personally identifies you (“personal information”) to unrelated third parties.  However, Aero may share information about you, under certain circumstances, with limited third parties that provide services on our behalf for order fulfillment, payment processing, package delivery, etc.  To help ensure an enjoyable online experience for all of our visitors, we provide this summary of what information Aero collects online, how Aero uses that information, and how Aero keeps personal information about you safe and secure.

Thinkaero.com collects certain information about your computer hardware and software, access times and referring website addresses.  This information is used for the operation of the website, to maintain quality of the website, and to provide general statistics regarding use of thinkaero.com.  Thinkaero.com also collects navigational information about which pages our visitors view within thinkaero.com.  This information allows us to see which areas of our website are most visited and helps us improve the quality of your online experience.  Additional non-personal information, such as, domain type, browser version, service provider, and Internet protocol address may be collected to provide general information regarding thinkaero.com.  This website visitation data is identified only by a unique identification number, and it is not linked with personal information.

3. Does Aero share information about me?

Aero does not sell, trade, or rent personal information about you to unrelated third parties.  Aero may, however,  provide personal information about you to service provides we hire to provide limited services on our behalf, including fulfilling orders, processing payments, packaging, mailing and delivering purchases, answering customer questions about products or services, sending postal mail, and processing product registrations.  We will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver these service, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

In addition, Aero may disclose information about you in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

4. What if I live outside the United States?

The information you provide on thinkaero.com may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Aero or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities.  By using the thinkaero.com website, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.  Aero abides by the safe harbor framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of data from the European Union.

5. How do I access or change the information about me?

Aero prefers to keep registered users’ personal information accurate and up-to-date.  To do this, we provide you with the opportunity to access and update or modify the information you provide Aero on thinkaero.com.  Just log-on to your account with your user name and password, and you will be able to view or edit your Account Information.  The information you will be able to view and update includes your user name, password, email address, first and last name, and telephone and facsimile numbers.  Additionally, when you register or update your account information, you will be able to tell us whether you want to be on Aero’s mailing list so that Aero can communicate with you by way of email correspondence. 

Please note that when you make an online purchase from Aero, we will continue to confirm your order status and shipment by email.  We may also need to contact you by way of telephone, email or postal mail with questions or information regarding your order, or with regard to your registered Aero products.

6. How does Aero protect the privacy of children?

Thinkaero.com is not targeted to or intended for use by children under the age of 13, and no one under the age of 13 should provide personal information on this website.  However, Aero is concerned about the privacy and safety of children when they use the Internet.  As such, Aero will never knowingly request personally identifiable information online from anyone under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. 

7. How does Aero use cookies and pixel tags?

Our website uses “cookies,” which are small data files that are stored on your computer when you visit a website (if your computer accepts cookies).  Cookies enable you to shop on our website and may be used in a variety of ways to enhance or personalize your online browsing and shopping experience.  Thinkaero.com may use cookies to enable you to use certain website features, remember the items in your shopping cart, store your preferences, recognize you when you return to our website, track your orders, and monitor and maintain information about your use of our website.  Cookies cannot be used to run programs  or deliver viruses to your computer.

Aero also uses “pixel tags” (also called “web beacons” or “clear gifs”), which are tiny graphic images, on our website and in our emails.  Pixel tags help us analyze our customers’ online behavior and measure the effectiveness of our websites and our advertising.  This technology tells us information about your visit to thinkaero.com, including the pages you view, the features you use, the links you click, and other actions you take in connection with the sites.  This information may include your computer’s Internet protocol (IP) address, your browser type, your operating system, date and time information, and other technical information about your computer. 

Pixel tags and cookies in our emails may be used to track your interactions with those messages, such as when you receive, open, or click a link in an email message from Aero. 

These website visitation statistics are collected in aggregate form and never linked with personal information about you.  We do not use pixel tags or cookies to access personal information about you.  Rather, these are tools we use to gather aggregated statistics about thinkaero.com website usage.

8. How do I know the personal information about me is secure?

Aero is committed to protecting the security of the personal information you provide through thinkaero.com.  We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect personal information about you from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.  For example, Aero limits the number of employees that have access to the databases that contain personal information, Aero employees are advised of the importance of confidentiality, and Aero’s server is located in a controlled facility.

Additionally, our secure server encrypts the information you input before it is sent to us so that no outside sources may capture it.  Specifically, when you enter personal information on our website, we use Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) technology to protect your information as it is transmitted to Aero.  To make sure you are accessing our secure server before you submit personal financial information, look at the URL, or Location line of your browser.  If you have accessed a secure server, the first characters of the address in that line should change from “http” to “https.”
Once you have placed your online order, and your credit card has been authorized for the purchase, your credit card information is deleted.  All of your future orders will require you to input your credit card information again.  We recognize that this may seem redundant, however, this process ensures your security.

While we implement the above security measures on this website, you should be aware that 100% security is not always possible.

For your convenience and information, our website may contain links to other websites (“linked websites”), which may have privacy policies that differ form our own.  Aero does not evaluate and is not responsible for the content, information collection and use practices, or security measures of any linked website.  We recommend that you review the privacy and security policies of any linked website that you access through thinkaero.com

10. How do I know if Aero’s information collection and use practices have changed?

As we continue to offer our visitors new and different types of content and services, Aero may change its information collection and use practices.  If our information collection and use practices change, we will post an updated Privacy Policy on our website.  You can tell if the Privacy Policy has changed by checking the revision date that appears at the end of this Privacy Policy.
